Meet Ryan
FOUNDER OF DOG DAYS NJ
I started this business in 2010, inspired by a lifelong love of animals — a passion passed down from my mom. Growing up, our home was always filled with pets: dogs like Scarlet, Jesse and Summer, and more cats than I could count (though thankfully, not all at once!).
When my wife and I got married in 2009, we adopted a senior Chihuahua named Taffy. She completely changed our lives and was the spark behind Dog Days NJ. One afternoon, she was curled up sleeping on my chest when the idea clicked — and the rest, as they say, is history!
A year later, we welcomed Molly the Miniature Pinscher, whose big, innocent eyes let her get away with just about anything. Both Taffy and Molly have since passed, but in May 2023, we adopted Maggie — an adorable mix of (we think) Westie, Wheaten Terrier and maybe a little Muppet, if you ask our son.
Being around animals every day is a gift I never take for granted. I’m incredibly grateful to each of our clients for trusting us to care for their furry family members. It’s a responsibility we carry with pride and heart, and one we never take lightly.

I’ve been part of the team since 2016, but my dog walking journey began in 2009. My love for animals first took root during high school, when I volunteered at the Monmouth County SPCA in Eatontown. I especially enjoyed taking the shelter dogs on hiking adventures; it was so rewarding to see their personalities shine in the open air.
Over the years, I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments, as well as many wonderful cats. One of my favorite experiences was volunteering in the FIV-positive cat area, where those sweet cats needed — and gave — extra love.
What I’ve learned is that animals, just like people, are individuals. I take the time to get to know each pet so they feel safe, comfortable and excited to see me. I truly love what I do, and it’s a joy to spend my days with my furry best friends.

I joined the team after stepping away from a demanding career as executive director of a nonprofit supporting young adults with developmental disabilities. Since 2019, I’ve focused on raising my two daughters while staying active in the community, serving on the PTO board and helping run a local girls' basketball league.
I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with cats, including one who shared my birthday and was with me for 18 years. Later, we rescued Amber, a sweet Yorkiepoo who stole my heart for over a decade.
Although we don’t currently have pets due to allergies in the family, dog walking gives me the chance to connect with animals and help others.
