One of the ways we do that is by using Time to Pet, our scheduling and communication software that keeps everything organized — from booking walks to tracking visits and chatting with your dog walker.
Whether you’re in Aberdeen, Matawan, Keyport, Hazlet, or Holmdel, this guide will walk you through how to set up your Time to Pet profile so you can start scheduling your dog walks with ease.

How to Get Started — Time to Pet Setup Guide for Dog Days NJ Clients
Step 1: Watch for Your Time to Pet Welcome Email
Once you’ve signed up with Dog Days NJ, you’ll receive a welcome email from Time to Pet.This email contains your secure login link — click it to create your password and access your client portal for the first time.
👉 Tip: Check your spam or promotions folder if you don’t see it within a few minutes.
Step 2: Log In to the Time to Pet Client Portal
Go to www.timetopet.com/portal and log in using your email and new password.Once inside, you’ll have access to your dashboard, where you can:
View upcoming walks and visits
Message your Dog Days NJ walker directly
Update your pet info or home details
Add payment information
Step 3: Complete Your Profile
Add your address, emergency contact, and home instructions. These details help your walker safely access your home in Holmdel, Hazlet, or Matawan. Take a few minutes to fill in your personal details and emergency contact information.This ensures that your walker has everything they need to safely care for your pets.
Include:
Your address and preferred entry method (key, code, etc.)
Emergency contact (neighbor, friend, or family member)
Any special home instructions (alarm codes, gate details, etc.)

Step 4: Add Pet Profiles
Upload info for each pet: name, breed, feeding schedule, medications, and quirks.
Our walkers use this info to personalize every visit.
This is the fun part! 🐕🐈Click the “Pets” tab to create a profile for each pet we’ll be caring for. Include:
Name, breed, and age
Feeding instructions and routines
Any medical conditions, allergies, or medications
Favorite toys, hiding spots, or quirks
The more details you provide, the better our walkers can tailor each visit to your pet’s personality and needs.
Step 5: Add Your Payment Method
Time to Pet offers secure, easy billing.Under the “Invoices” or “Payment Method” tab, add your credit or debit card to your account.All payments are processed safely through the system — no cash or checks needed.
Step 6: Request Your First Service
Once your profile is complete, you’re ready to book your first dog walk or pet sitting visit!To request a service:
Click “Request Services.”
Choose your service type (e.g., dog walk, drop-in visit, etc.)
Select your preferred dates and times.
Add any notes for your walker (e.g., “Please dry paws if wet outside”).
You’ll receive a confirmation once your request is approved and added to the schedule.
Step 7: Download the Time to Pet App
For easy access on the go, download the Time to Pet mobile app (available for iOS and Android).The app lets you:
Book and manage walks anytime
Receive visit reports and photos instantly
Chat with your walker
Get notifications when visits begin and end

Step 8: Sit Back and Relax
That’s it! You’re all set.From now on, you can book, track, and communicate right from your phone or computer — all through Time to Pet.
